Hello !

Here is my theme :

But I get some problems and I feel a little lost, I don't know how to fix them :
- I would like a separator to separate the body text and the file attachment bar in evolution for example (http://www.zimage.fr/photo.php?id=95382)
- I don't understand why I can't see the color picker buttons and their icons (http://www.zimage.fr/photo.php?id=95383).

Any idea?

I forgot an ask : Is it possible to get the progressbar animated on the GTK2 version ? I tested with :

The answer is :
I should recompile KDE3 and KDE4 to use seperate directories. Traditionally, ~/.kde/ for KDE 3 and ~/.kde4 for KDE 4. No other way exists to do this. - Apr 20 2011

Is it possible to synchronize KDE3 style with the QT3 style config (qtconfig-qt3) ?

Here is my problem :
I want to use the QtCurve style for KDE3 apps and the GTK+ (QGtkStyle) style for KDE4 apps but I must set QtCurve KDE4 style in order to use QtCurve with KDE3 apps. If I choose GTK+ as KDE4 style, KDE3 apps looks like horrible default style and I don't know how to set QtCurve to KDE3 apps by hand (there isn't kcontrol anymore on Ubuntu like distribution and kcmshell style command returns : "kbuildsycoca running...
Reusing existing ksycoca".
Is there any ability to set QtCurve to KDE3 apps and GTK+ to KDE4 apps as I can set QtCurve to QT3 apps and GTK+ to QT4 apps ?

I solve the problem :
ln -s /usr/lib/qt-3.3 /usr/lib/qt3

Then I run cmake .. normally.

I can't build the QtCurve-KDE3-1.6.0 version on a new Fedora 13 LXDE installation :

mkdir build
cd build
QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt-3.3
cmake .. -DQT_PLUGINS_DIR=/usr/lib/qt-3.3/plugins
INFO: Defaulting to reading KDE4 settings if KDE_SESSION_VERSION is not set
CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
QT_INCLUDE_DIR (ADVANCED)
used as include directory in directory /home/sebmaurice/Documents/QtCurve-KDE3-1.6.0/style

kdebase3-libs, kdebase3-devel and qt3-devel are installed.
I don't understand what's the problem with QT_INCLUDE_DIR (ADVANCED)

It works with Lubuntu !


Same idea for Fedora 13 LXDE :

- Download the kdebase-3.5.9-3.fc7.i386.rpm package (searching for kcontrol.so in RPM Search)
- Extract it with this command : rpm2cpio kdebase-3.5.9-3.fc7.i386.rpm | cpio -vid
- Copy kcm_style.so, kcm_style.la, kcm_colors.so, kcm_colors.la, kcm_fonts.so, kcm_fonts.la, kcm_icons.so and kcm_icons.la, ETC to /usr/lib/kde3
- create .desktop files or simply run: kcmshell style, kcmshell colors, kcmshell icons and kcmshell fonts. ;-) - Sep 14 2010

We must specify the qtdir AND the qt plugins dir to build the KDE 3 version.

... to port this theme to GTK3, matching as far as possible this GTK2 theme (Murrine engine appearance with its options I set, its color scheme, ETC). I don't know how to proceed because I haven't found any documentation to do this and I don't know CSS.
I love glassy, glossy, glow... themes like ones I already posted here, not the lacking, drab, gummy GTK3 fashionable nowadays themes or styles (for example : Light, Radiance, Dark themes...)
I think harmonize differents graphical toolkits appearance is important and I haven't found any GTK3 theme to do it properly with my Murrine based themes and my QtCurve-Murrina style.

As I can see, Lambda-Mod is one Gnome theme but MurrinaSeasons are several GTK+ themes in one archive.
cwchien uses XFCE and MurrinaSeasons works fine so if MurrinaSeasons doesn't work in ~/.themes or /usr/share/themes with correct permisions, I think the problem come from Gnome or 64 bits platform.
I will test as soon as possible on Linux Mint Gnome 32 bits version to know more (I don't have 64 bits machine)... - Apr 23 2011

I tested in my home PC deleting the themes and reinstalling them from the archive in /usr/share/themes -> works fine.

I forgot : I don't use Gnome but LXDE.
Unzip the archive and copy the themes folders (darker variations are in "Darker" subfolder) to ~/.themes or /usr/share/themes but in this case, you must set permissions through a root access. - Apr 17 2011
