I don't know what the problem is, but you could try to decompress the Xaphire-theme.tar.gz to home/your_user_name/.kde/share/apps/deKorator/themes Then go back to kcontrol ad press "Set Theme Paths".

About the KDM-theme, you might need to reboot.

The colour-theme is lost as my host went down (I'm still hoping it will come back on-line), I don't have it any more. There was nothing special with the colour-theme or the qtcurve-theme and it was not made to fit the Azenis theme. I'm quite sure you can fix your own colour and qtcurve-theme.

From Monday and 10 days I will be off-line, but when I come back I will fix the host-problem. - Sep 19 2008

None of this themes on this site work on Ubuntu as Ubuntu uses Gnome as its window manager, and the themes here is made for KDE window manager.

You will need to either install Kubuntu or install KDE3. If you install KDE on Ubuntu, you will have both Gnome and KDE and you will have a choice to change between them in your login-manager (kdm/gdm).

I don't want to encourage you to Install KDE, but If you want to:
Open a console and write:

Quote:sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

This will install a dreadful of packages and that is perhaps not what you want. You might want to go to http://www.gnome-look.org instead and find a Gnome theme.

I don't want to be responsible for you messing up your system, so I leave the choices up to you! - Sep 15 2008

Hi!
First I must say that I'm very impressed by your work.... its very nice.

About the KBFX-them. The mask seems to be wrong for me. The bottom bar don't show as you have transparency at the bottom of the mask.png. You also use the mask as a border around the whole kbfx menu. That only works if you are using the right colour in the colour settings. This will of curse be solved if I would use your colour-scheme, but even tough I think dark colours are nice, I don't use it in my colour-scheme, as I don't think it is functional (of curse, its a matter of taste). So for me I will get a light border around the kbfx-theme and destroying your beautiful theme. I would suggest you to include the border in the theme images rather than use the mask for it.

Hope I don't step on your toes. You are far better themer than me, as I just use other themes and port them to KDE. I don't even see myself as a themer, just a copier. - Aug 11 2008

Maybe you are using a older version of KDE. I use 3.5.9. I think these settings is only available on latest KDE.

I did find another solution that might work. http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php/Taskbar+v2?content=31611 I tried it and its quit nice. It even has a nice preview that shows when you hover over a "task" and it does make the "task's" transparent when you hover over them.

I don't know if you are using (K)Ubuntu, as there is only a deb to download, but if you using some other distro you might find it in you repository.

If you get it installed, right click on Kicker and click on "add new "program"" (using Swedish here) and you will find it in the list there. To edit it's settings you need to set the "program grip" (still Swedish here :P) visible. To do this, check at the top in the howto.pdf for Azenis theme. Then right click on the little "grip" on the taskbar and you will see the config menu.

Hope it helps - Jul 25 2008

KDE 3.5 Themes by Ezy 192 comments

The "hover-colour" is controlled by the colour-settings you find if you right click on the kicker. Then go to where you control the taskbar and tick to use "custom colours". Then change the colour for "background".

There is not much you can do except change to a colour you prefer. The most optimal would be to have this transparent, and the text go bold when you hover over it, but that is not possible (as I know). - Jul 25 2008

I think you are using a older version of kbfx, and I think that themes for newer kbfx don't work. To check what version you have, do this in a console:

kbfxconfigapp -v

The version I made my theme for is " 0.4.9.3.1"

If you have this version, check out my post: "Re: kbfx menu broken". You find it at page 3. If you don't have latest version of kbfx, you can try to install the latest: http://ftp.se.debian.org/debian/pool/main/k/kbfx/kbfx_0.4.9.3.1-1_alpha.deb

I don't recommend installing it this way. You should ask in the Debian forum http://forums.debian.net/ how to edit your repositories and install it that way instead. The above package might work, but I'm not sure (I don't take any responsibility for it). It might depend on some package you don't have. Setting up you repository to use newer package will take care of this.

Have you installed lm-sensors? If you have, what does it show if you write "sensors" (without " ") in console?

For the GPU-temp you need a Nvidia graphic card with temp-sensor on it.

Perhaps I should make a Karamba System-info without the temps and substitute the temps with something else. - Jun 23 2008

Have you read the howto that comes with Azenis? It explains how to install most of it. I'm not familiar with Fedora but I google some, and found "kdmtheme" here: http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/5825937/com/kdmtheme-1.2.2-1.fc7.i386.rpm.html
You use "kdmtheme" to install kdm-themes more easy.

I don't know how you install things in Fedora, but If you use a repository to install things (adept) you should install it from there. Once you got "kdmtheme" installed, you will find it in "kde controlcenter" (kcontrol). All this and how to go from here is explained in my howto (in a pdf-format)

I wonder what version of kbfx you are using?

I use latest (KBFX Silk 0.4.9.3.1). Themes made for 0.4.9.3.1 don't work with older versions (I think). From looking at your screenshot it looks really weird and its most likely not the theme that causing this, but something else ( I really don't know).

Hi!
Maybe you don't use the right themerc. Xbfx can be bugy sometimes and don't pick the right one.

Open Kbfx settings and uninstall the Azeniskbfx-theme. Be sure to delete "personal settings" as well. Then go to /home/YOURUSERNAME/.kde/share/apps/kbfx/themerc and delete anything referring to Azenis. Then go back to kbfx-settings and apply the "2panels"-theme. Then reinstall the Azeniskbfx-theme and click apply. Hope it helps.

If this don't work and you want to make a screenshot. Start "Ksnapshot" (hopefully you have this) and follow this screenshot: http://web.telia.com/~u00175529/17.jpg I think you will understand by just looking at the screenshot :) - May 14 2008
