Going to settings, the window that comes up is blank (copies whats is under the settings window) and it locks up plasma.
Made a report here:

This is on a new install of Debian using Nvidia-driver (if the Nvidia drivers is to blame).

I cant access the debug option as the option for it is in the settings. Kind of moment 22. - Feb 08 2020

You did a very nice work with this, probably better than my theme for deKorator. There area fault with my theme near the buttons, but that was deKorators shortcoming and could not be fixed.

If I ever use XFCE (KDE fan forever) I might try your theme. Good work anyway! - Jul 29 2019
I was first to port Azenis (to KDE). JamesHardy88 based is theme on my work when he ported it to Gnome. You might want to add that to your description. Also base your work from Windowblinds Azenis as JamesHardy88 has edited the artwork to fit his theme and therefor not original artwork. - Jul 28 2019

Glad you like the theme.

I have recently started using KDE4 and have come to the decision, that I'm sorry to say, I wont make this or any of my themes for KDE4. There are a couple of reasons:

1. I would have to learn Inkscape as KDE4 uses .svg images (Inkscape best app for that?) and I don't want/have time to learn.

2. KBFX don't support KDE4 and the theme wouldn't be complete without it. "The standard KDE4 menu and Lancelot looks like "oversized elephants on weed" (sorry creators of those)." and those wont fit the theme, so KBFX is needed imo.

3. Superkaramba is a bit buggy in KDE4, and making Plasmoids to fit the theme would be to much time consuming to learn.

In short, the KDE-dev's made KDE4 more difficult to make themes for, and there is just to much difference between KDE4 and KDE3.

There is still some things you can use from the Azenis theme in KDE4. Dekorator works for KDE4 so you can use the win-deco. The wallpaper of curse. The Superkaramba themes will work with a bit of tinkering, but they would still be buggy.

Got it installed. It will take some time before I release it though. Need to figure out how it will look first, so stay tuned... :) - Jul 13 2009
I'll look into it.

Tried to install the plugin but it made audacious to crash, and as I have a newly installed Debian I'm not keen on compile. i need to find a trustworthy Debian package first.

You can change the window and buttons color i kcontrol: You can also find some colors to change in the Style section. The colors on the kbfx menu and windeco is not possible to change though. - Jun 08 2009
Try this: "Untar the windeco, then you need to add the path manually like this:
(this is for my Xaphire theme, but I guess you can figure out what path to put there)." - Jun 02 2009
Thanx for the kind words! :)
I feel the responsibility to answer questions as I put the theme up here.

As I probably not going to make more themes I might in time stop answering as well ;) - Mar 20 2009
Made a new screens shot. Hope no one saw the old one :P - Mar 01 2009
Haha, nice typo in that screen shot. To early in the morning... :P - Mar 01 2009
I made a Screen shot for you:

Right click on Kicker and click on "Configure Panel" then follow the screen shot :)

No question is stupid!!

Solidfiles is working just fine for me...

It is just "normal" icons at the top. - Feb 28 2009
Glad you like the theme :)

About the icons. Quoted from page 10:

"Here you go:

Remember, this is not an icon-theme. You have to manually change the icons, one by one."

What dock are you referring to? I don't use any dock (that I remember :P). Do you mean Kicker (at the bottom of the screenshot)?

bar x=54 y=64 w=100 h=8 vertical=false path="img/bar2.png" interval=1000 sensor=sensor type="CPU Temp" max=99

Change "CPU Temp" to "temp1" in that line. Might solve it... :) - Feb 21 2009
Crap. This screenshot of curse:

Pasted the wrong thing :P - Feb 20 2009
I don't know why it doesn't work for you, it should just work as you are doing it right.

You can try this workaround:
Decompress Dekorator-theme.tar.gz Then set the theme's path manually to where you decompressed the theme. See this screenshot Dekorator-theme.tar.gz It's made for my Xaphire theme, but I guess you can figure it out anyway :)

Np with support :) I just think other ppl reading here could help out with support. - Feb 20 2009
Glad you liked it. Hope it meets your expectations :) - Feb 10 2009
No sorry, it is for KDE3 only :/ I have no plan porting it to KDE4 as I don't use KDE4. - Feb 03 2009
I did not really had to alter it, I was just lazy with the description. What I had to do with Azenis with deKorator was to remove the glow for the buttons and there is some minor error left to the buttons, which I cant resolve. The texture don't line up.

What would like to see in deKorator is ability to move the window title up or down and I also like to be able to have a frame around the window-title (like the old theme Keramik). I have a lot of themes I like to port (have no artistic skills my self), but I cant make them right as it is now, mainly because deKorator does not support transparency (except for the buttons) and you cannot move the window title up or down.

It is probably to much to ask for especially transparency, but moving the window title might be possible? I'm only a noob, and I don't really know how things work. It's to bad I wont see the new deKorator as its now I don't like KDE4. I will continue to use KDE3 as long as the bigger distros support KDE3. - Jan 21 2009
Updated with a new kbfx-theme that might solve your problem. Its not perfect, but it is the best I could do. Sorry for the delay. - Jan 16 2009
I'm trying to fix this for you. Working on an update. Will take some time though. - Jan 10 2009
It's not anything wrong with your kbfx. kbfx don't resize automatic. The only thing you can do is to shorten every program-name and remove the "settings-plugin". I'm sorry but it is the only thing you can do.

I could make a update on the kbfx-skin to make it work a little better for all, but I don't have as much time now as I had before, so it will take a while. - Jan 07 2009
Right click on the kde/kbfx-button and click on "Edit Applications Menu. Then click on the icon you want to change :) - Nov 25 2008
Kubuntu 8.10 don't use kde3, it uses kde4, so kbfx wont work. I cant really understand that Kubuntu developer choose to not include kde3 as kde4 is not yet (imo.) finished.

I have bee using Kubuntu since Hoary, but now as I no longer have any faith in Kubuntu developers, I will switch to Debian. - Nov 03 2008

I have no clue why the splash don't work for you, but with the KDM-theme it's probably a bug in KDM. It happens when you change the background in the login-manager.

Open a console run this:
sudo kate /etc/kde3/kdm/backgroundrc

Then edit the line Wallpaper=whatever.png to:
Wallpaper=default_blue.jpg and save the file.

Then go to kcontrol and apply the theme in kdmtheme-manager.

Press Ctrl+Alt+F1 and lastly run:

sudo etc/init.d/kdm/ restart

Hopefully it will work. - Oct 15 2008

Cool that you like the theme! :)
As you probably have figured out, this theme is not for Gnome. If you want it all you will need KDE3 (not KDE4). I am not using Gnome and I never will, so I wont make this theme for Gnome, sorry!

I am working on a Emerald-theme (window decoration) and this will work for Gnome if you use Compiz. It is not done yet, and I'm meaning to release it on 1:st December (or sooner). It will be more close to the original. I will release this here, so check out for a update on this theme. - Nov 10 2009
Oh, forgot to say that you need to compress the theme and then install it again after you made your changes, but you probably understood that :P - Dec 05 2008
Don't know if this will work, but decompress the splashtheme, then open Theme.rc. Find the line BaseResolution = 1280,1024 Change that to your resolution like this: BaseResolution =1600,1200
The theme is made for 1280x1024 so it will probably look ugly :/ - Dec 05 2008
Its Redmond XP, a standard theme. You find it in the list. - Dec 05 2008

Can confirm that the patch galgonek posted (on page 5) solves the button-problem (transparent buttons on window resize). Managed to apply the patch and create a Debian package (for Kubuntu 9.04).

You can download it here:

- Aug 28 2009
Was already reported. nvm :P - Aug 21 2009
Think I found a bug.

If I resize a windows up or down, the buttons goes transparent. I can make them visible again by moving mouse pointer over the buttons. This does not happens if I resize a window from the side, only from bottom or top.

Using Nvidia graphic.

Soz if this has already been reported! I'm to lazy to scroll the archive :P - Aug 21 2009

Is mask and shadows supposed to work with latest dekorator?

I did compile latest dekorator, but I have no shadows, and mask is black instead of transparent. This is on kde 4.3. - Aug 14 2009

You should release one without the kde-logo as well to make it more universal.

Thanx for the explanation! felt kind of alone in this matter, and I was about to delete this theme. Thanx again! - Jan 06 2009
I will also delete this theme depending on your and others response in this matter. I only uploaded this because others might want to use it, but I mainly made it for myself. Find it sad that ppl is nagging about license when I already said earlier that I have permission for this. - Dec 21 2008
And why do you want to do that, and who do you think wants to download it? I don't understand if your release is for Windowblinds or if it is for KDE?

If you are going to download the theme I made and use it for making a Windowblinds-theme, you will find that there are a lot of artwork missing. And also, if you do a little search you will find that the complete Xaphire Windowblinds-theme is already out there. I bought the Xaphire-theme in order to make my theme, and I have been given approval from JJ Ying to release it here under the condition (JJ Ying's words): "as long as it does not work for Windows"

If you are going to make a KDE-theme, I don't care less, do as you wish. My guess is that you will fail to make a proper theme.

Any way, I will email JJ Ying about this and let him decide what to do about the theme you say you will release.

- Dec 21 2008
I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are saying :/ - Dec 16 2008
Perhaps, but this does not work for Windows. In the Linux-world we dont take charge for things like in the windows-world (well some do).

Permission to release this here was given from JJ Ying if that is what you are wondering. - Oct 07 2008
