I've installed Rekonq from Sources in Ubuntu 8.10 using KDE 4.2 with QT4.5 and Bespin style but without the xbar widget. I can't see the menubar and I don't know how to make it appear. Ctrl+Alt+m does not work. - May 04 2009

Well, RESULT=0 tells that it ends correctly. I've looked at the package and it seems to contain all the necessary files but I can't test it because I don't have a 64bits installation right now and so 64bit package is not mine.
What KDE version are you using? Is it Feisty or Edgy? I think that package was made for Edgy although I can assure that the 32 bit package works for Edgy and Feisty. - Apr 15 2007

I don't have a 64bits system so I can't test it but when I download the package it's about 350kb in size and I can open it with file-roller.

Most modern themes have a line aroud the line edit that has focus but I haven't seen that in any of the domino configs that I've tried. It's a good feature from the usability point of view.
Other suggestions:
- Mouseover effects for radio, check, tabs and scrollbars

After some tries, I've found the way of group things and now I haven't problems, but at the beggining I found it difficult. The first thing I thought was:

- If I move an item to another it will be organized as a child of that item.

But that was not the case if you drag it to the left half of the item container. That's not obvious at first glance and I had to read the last comment on that page to know what was going on.
Also, the ungroupping bug (I didn't know if it was a bug or a feature) was confusing me even more.
Anyway, maybe a menu entry could resolve part of this with actions for grouping and ungrouping.

You use a lot of "special effects" in the new basket, so maybe it could easy to show an item while it's being moved in a group showing the final position of the widget if you release the mouse.
I don't know how to tell it in english as it's not my main language, but look at what Picasa2 (if you have Windows) does when you move photos to see what I'm referring to. I haven't found a Linux application that makes this kind of effect (there must be hundreds of examples in MacOS X).

Another thing that bugs me is when using the free style and I want to move an item to one border, it keeps bouncing back and it's extremely difficult to do.
Anyway, I'm not using the free layout anymore because I find the fixed in columns layout more useful but that's just my liking. - Jan 27 2006

I also find grouping and ungrouping difficult to do. Specially when using a free layout. There are times in that I want to move the position of an item in its grout and it gets ungrouped.

I totally agree. It's a good theme but not a theme that could be the default for KDE4 since it has some rips of Windows Vista and MacOS X.

Very good work. There are some missing icons like the development files (.c, .h, and so) but it's the first version, maybe in next releases it may become as complete as crystal svg.
I hope KDE will use it as KDE 4 default icon set (changing all the linspire references, of course)
By the way, does anybody know if the kicker in the screenshot is a mockup or is it the default Linspire theme? I've seen some screenshots of Linspire and it is not as good as everaldo's screenshot. - Jun 23 2005

It would be great if it was integrated with korganizer. Just a few ideas (I don't know if that's possible but with DCOP it could be):

1. When there's an even in one day, show this day with different color/font or surrounded or with some effect.
2. On mouse over show the short description of the events of that day.
2. On click open korganizer on that day to show all the events.

Making that would need a complete OpenGL GUI and this is not a simple task (look at Microsoft with Longhorn or Sun with LookingGlass). Maybe they could make it through the Xorg 6.8 server using composite extensions. It's something that's already there. I don't know about performance, something like that it's made on windows through Stardock's WindowFX and still it's slow, even with good drivers. Think about the poor driver support we have in Linux. Nvidia drivers are better, but not at the quality level of windows drivers. And let's not talk about ATI drivers. They are worse. - Sep 23 2004

Do somebody know about a binary version for Debian with kde 3.3 support.

I have followed your instructions, but when it installs, it does only create a file named keramik.desktop in /share/apps/kwin/ I have copied it to /usr/share/apps/kwin/ but it doesn't work anyway.
