mhmmm, i use gnome-panel in gnome and everything there is all right.
I don't tested my themes in xfce but already by no means with transparency xfce-panel.
I dont know solution on this moment.

1. Extract theme and remove star before the name and movie ( in MC ) do /usr/share/themes or:

sudo cp /location/of/MurrinaDuOEte /usr/share/themes

2. Check if Murrina Engine is actually installed for your Murrina themes. - Mar 14 2007
