It works, thank you! - Dec 06 2012
Thanks, I tried to install the current development version with the install script and I'm not getting that error anymore.
But I'm getting a new error. :)

I'm not sure but from googling I think it's just a matter of adding -pthread somewhere but I'm not a C/C++ programmer so I don't know where. :)
Sorry for the trouble, I thought I had a pretty standard Ubuntu 12.04 installation. :/ - Dec 06 2012
Hi,
I tried to install this using the install.sh script but no matter what components I want to install I keep getting this error:

Oh, I didn't see the README file. I followed it and now it works! Beautiful, thanks a lot! - Feb 25 2010
Hi, I'm using Kubuntu 9.10 with KDE 4.4 and I'm trying to get the Ayatana/Colibri notifications back. I installed the .deb package provided here but it still doesn't work for me. What else do I need to do? - Feb 25 2010

I had the problem that it always showed "in 3(I18N_ARGUMENT_MISSING) days" in the plasmoid. I fixed it for me through changing the following lines in kbirthdayapplet.cpp:

msg = i18n("%1 days ago").arg(remainingDays*-1);

msg = i18n("in %1 days").arg(remainingDays);

to:
msg = i18n("%1 days ago", remainingDays*-1);

msg = i18n("in %1 days", remainingDays);

Now it works without error messages. (I use KDE 4.1.2 on Ubuntu 8.04)

Great plasmoid btw! I was looking for something like this. - Dec 21 2008
