I've been using this app as my only gui video
player for many years now. It's been all I need,
now however with mplayer2 being stable and offering
some new nice features I would like to know:

Oh... is there any way I can get notified by
changes to this project? like when you update
it I'd get a mail? I cannot find any way to
"subscribe" or anything like that. - Mar 14 2012

...to be exactly what I need!
I just have one question:
Does this have some kinda "enumerate devices"
type function?
Like if I want to quickly get a list of all devices
currently plugged in? - Mar 09 2012

Possible, yes. Just change in pixelmetric
PM_SplitterWidth to 1. This is stupid however
as splitters would get hard to hit.
...note, you need to re-compile after changing this. - Feb 29 2012

Yeah it's a gnome2 theme, not a gnome3 theme :)

Great player!
I'm missing one thing: global hotkeys.
Are there any plans for either that or
command line options like 'minitunes --play'?
If there where command line options one
could easily turn them into global hotkeys...
...would it be too much trouble implement
some cli options? - Nov 06 2011

Hi... it's me again...
I've some suggestions regarding the icons... they
are hardcoded to search for oxygen icons... this is
not optimal, at least not for me as I tend to use
more monochromatic themes. so maybe looks for the
icon from the theme instead?
example:
pathline.cpp:91
arrow->setIcon(QIcon("/usr/share/icons/oxygen/16x16/actions/arrow-right.png"));
to:
arrow->setIcon(QIcon::fromTheme("arrow-right",QIcon("/usr/share/icons/oxygen/16x16/actions/arrow-right.png")));
then I set the previewwidget.cpp:51
from:
ui->label->setPixmap(QPixmap("/usr/share/icons/oxygen/128x128/places/folder.png"));
to:
ui->label->setPixmap(QIcon::fromTheme("folder", QIcon("/usr/share/icons/oxygen/128x128/places/folder.png")).pixmap(QSize(128,128),QIcon::Normal));
it works but it's not optimal either...
then I "fixed" the statusbar icons the same way :)
Anyways, are u still developing this? - Oct 28 2011

This seems nice! tested it briefly, loved it!
However, I run into some bugs with the "navbar".
is this ur own custom widget or is there some
qt only equivalent to the KUrlNavigator?
The bookmarkssystem, have u planned
putting it into a QDockWidget or some other
like a view with a QSplitter? having only a
menusystem for this is...... too slow for me.
(did not find anythign regarding this in todo)
Also, there could be some toggleable (not sure
how to spell that) QToolButtons for the view
for easy swith....
Sry bout the 20 questions but I feel kinda
excited about this little program :D
I have also planned on trying to write a similar
qt file manager however, I've neither the time
nor the skills :( - Oct 28 2011

the words to describe how I feel.
This mark shutleworth guy is really pissing on

bilderberg meeting too. Couldn't somebody just
go and do the guy a favor by stealing all his
money and save us all the trouble. - Sep 26 2011

Nice to see somebody else who is a
"free thinker" and actually creates some
own design :) I love the technical look
of it, I'm kind of a "tech-look-freak"
so this fits me right on.
Nowadays everything gnome is just elementary
this and elementary that, kill elemenatary
pls! - Apr 21 2011

Yeah removing the export makes it compile
and run just fine :)
However, u have any idea as to why it does
not work with a "global menubar" (?), every
qt4 app works with it that I've tried except
this.... I just don't get why :)
I tried playing around with it a little and so
far I like it really good :)
Oh, and thx for ur help!

mmkay, got desperate to try this so I
compiled gambas from trunk....
...however, this wont compile.
This is what I get when I try to make:
bobby@crappa ~/builds/autotools/xt7-player-2.9.905 $ make
Compiling xt7-player project...
FMain.class:4: error: Unexpected &1 Export
Any ideas? configure runs fine with everything
ok :)

...sometimes, size is null, and for whatever reason theres one slash too many,
so I at least end up w/ strings like:
and hence get a download error and no thumb.
No big deal at all but still sinks the whole thing, at least here. - Mar 07 2016
