I love your theme. and
this is not a bug. I have made some
changes to the theme spec. you would have to make some minor ajustments to your theme. ( i did that since I;m using it right now) ;

so here is the spec..

Theme spec.

kbfx_app_body_hieght = hieght of "mask.png";
kbfx_app_body_width = width of "mask.png";

kbfx_app_top_height = height of "topbg.png";
kbfx_app_top_width = width of "topbg.png";
kbfx_app_top_x = 0;

I love your theme. and
this is not a bug. I have made some

I will .. and we can have more stuff on the menu. if you really want to cheange it
you can create a theme and save them as xpm files . replace the xpm files I have on the source dir . re compile the source.

k-menu is old and kbfx button is the base start... we need to replace the kmenu..
with some thing else.. the question is what ? I have used it for almost 4 years and wish it would change every time i compile kde source.. but it never happend so that's the goal..

in QT terms I have made a slot to drop your ideas... what you drop into that slot is some thing of your free selection..

to me no matter what you have on kbfx there is nothing to replace Alt+

OK... will you guys give me a break.
I hate windows.. No No NO !! I have not spent any time making a button that look like windows. There are many good looking button images on kde-look already that works with kbfx,,
I will change that Screenshots and as if
sent me a nice Screenshot.

to tell the truth I run mwm with kicker on the bottom ..!

so if you are calling me as a windows freak , what are you going to call the Redmond theme that is shipped with KDE ? do you think the KDE Dev team is working that hard to make a desktop like windows ?

kermic is default kwin theme , and why dose it have it's buttons in the same order as on windows ?

shit all that just look at the kmenu it self the look and feel and also the side image concept come directly from windows,,

and why dose KDE is shipped with Redmond Splash screen ...?

What I'm trying to do is change the windowish look of KDE ,,

I just wanted to make a button that has more options than k-Button. that's all

I live in this tiny Island of Sri Lanka, tsunami from south and war in north.
logging to internet every day with 56k dial-up ( do you think this is fun ?) ..I do this so people can enjoy the freedom of GNU software.. I walk around my college Protesting against the sun of the B...'s of M$. do you think I would turn around and wish KDE looked like windows...?

In Sri Lanka a windows CD is sold for 100 RS that;s less than a 1 dollar. but a linux CD cost 300 RS . and ... except for very few, have access to fast internet to download iso's .. I spend 8 H or more to download kde source alone.. What kind of a idiot will do that if he wants a desktop that looks like windows .. I mean why try to make a desktop that's not windows when you already have windows that looks like windows.. But I'm not!!! that's I am this mad ...

many still use RH8 in this nick of the wood....

..I am not a Windows lover ..!
if I did would I be using Linux for 7 years ( since I was 15 )

I have read all the comments posted and there were few emails personly sent to me. may of the request are very exiting and new.. initially when I started this
project I had this very simple idea of a kicker button..

Many of the new requested features can be added in a day and some can take a bit longer depending on the free time I have. So due to my busy life I can only do daily updates of the code. and only 30 and max of 1H on this. I was sleepless for 51/2 days so
took a nap so many things have happend. I am making the next release of kbfx.. sorry guys I want be able to add the config file fix tonight but
the buttons have few states..
it glows when mouse over and lights up when clicked.!

but this is not by having three images
just one image as before but using rich image effects KDE API provides.

I'm reading all these comments and I will take on these tasks as time slots permits..

I was able to find some time to finish
all the small thigs that needed to be done.

Enjoy the updated 0.2beta of the Kapplet.

I'm on the move these day's and doing all these on my notebook. and I got this idea last night ,so When I get home I'll make the applet work with kde 3.2.x as well. - Jun 02 2005

I had a quick chat with few of my friends
and it works fine on there PC's so...
I guess This is one of those rare problems//

The make install also should copy the skin image to the right place.

Read the INSTALL file to read all about manually installing the thing!

I use Fedora 3 with kde 3.4.

it should be copied to
/usr/share/icon/crystalsvg/22x22/actions/

if this dose not work then you can try to copy or link the file to the icon theme that you are using or the default icon theme of the distro.

this problem will be fixed after having a configuration dialog box that I am working on .till then please try this manual method and do tell me your progress .. even to my personel email.. I dont mind.

The kicker background image is inside the

Well this is made to work as a external kicker applet so you load it when you want and unload it when you want to switch some other theme.
and you do NOT have to patch the kde source...
and
I have spent only 30-45 min of coding time. and there are lot to be done..
but the basic things work. I want'ed to know what people want befor writing real code. You can safly try this just compile and check out the plug in.

ture... that's why I want a new Big KDE button for this kde applet.. Any one with
good graphics skill can help me... and I have not done any real coding yet the applet starts and when clicked talks to decop to show the kmenu, so if you hate winxp style like I do send me a nice big button...
