Thanks for looking into it. Hmmm it's definitely acting incorrectly on my machine but apparently works fine on other machines. I just tried some other KDE-Services "Action" items in Dolphin and noticed that some other actions also have the same type of problem on my machine, where it shows correct dialogs and questions for that action but then doesn't perform the correct operation.

For example, clicking in Dolphin on "Actions -> Change Owner Here", it shows several dialogs asking correctly about the root password and the desired new owner and modification flags it should set, then it shows a dialog saying it is updating the owner, but then nothing actually gets updated.

I haven't looked at any source code of Dolphin or KDE-Services but I get the impression that the numeric menu ID is different in my version of Dolphin or KDE-Service, since it is doing the expected behavior of a different item in the menu.

If this bug is only effecting me then I'm fine with not using these menu items, but if it effects other people as well then I'm willing to help debug the problem further. - Feb 05 2015

I'm using KDE-Services v2.0.5 on Debian Wheezy KDE, and whenever I right-click a file and choose "KDE-Services -> Change Timestamp To [File|Directory]" in the Actions submenu, it asks for a timestamp but then instead of changing the timestamp of the file, it removes the spaces in all files in that folder! I noticed that there is also a Dolphin KDE-Services menu item "[File|Dir]name Whitespace Replace" that it's probably calling instead. - Feb 01 2015
