That seems to solve the problem. I rebooted twice
and no crash. Thank you very much. - Oct 29 2012
OK, I have done what you suggested. Also, I am
including the plasma crash report. You can find them

Remember that it has been dong this for a while,
with different versions of KDE etc.
Thanks - Oct 29 2012
Sorry for the late response: I know it because the
KDE debug message says the crash is from yawp.

It seems to be kind of a "race condition". It only
happens after reboot once. I have yawp on my desktop
so something it needs does not start in time. It may be network connection or something. My laptop has an SSD disk so it comes up very fast. - Oct 15 2012
This has been happening here for a long time as
well. Here are the characteristics:

1. Only happens after rebooting my desktop and
login the first time. Subsequent logins it
does not crash.
2. The desktop has Nvidia graphics and running
propriety drivers from rpmfusion.
3. My laptop with same software (FC17+updates,
x86_64) but with the intel atom graphics does
not crash at all.

This has been going on for a while with many updates of KDE and Nvidia. Sometimes it crashes the whole plasma ending up with a black screen
(under the conditions above).

I would like to set the plasmoid to
show me the current weather in a
different time zone, e.g. I am in
US and I like to the current weather
in Frankfurt, Germany. Is there any
way to set this?
Thanks - Nov 24 2009

I am seeing the same problem suddenly.
I had upsgraded to 3.5.5 a few days ago
and it was working fine with it a few
days. When I came back to work this
morning it is hanging superkaramba. - Oct 16 2006

Yes. Thank you. Doing what you said
fixed the problem.

What would be nice is to have a system
wide wlassistantrc file, say in /etc - Sep 02 2005
Some distributions are naming their
dhclient files with -ethX extension e.g.
/var/run/ . When I run
dhclient it misses these and things dhclient
is not running BUT puts a message saying
that we can put the explicit name in to
wlassistantrc file. I could not find any
template for this file, not its location. - Aug 31 2005

I am finding that after making
certain changes to configuration the theme
goes back to brushmetal although it still
shows as being set to Aqua. Going
back and reconfiguring as Aqua fixes
it. - Nov 15 2004
When I user baghira 0.5h with openoffice
every application segfaults. If I remove the
kde components of oo OR switch to another theme than everything works

I am using:

KDE-3.3.0 (and recent 3.3.1) 1.1.2

Basically if I start an application it starts
and just at the point that the window
opens I get the segfault message. - Oct 06 2004
In 0.4 and after when one goes to a ftp
site in konqueror and has the view set
to "Detailed List View" one gets all the
ftp columns squeezed into each other
e.g. not expanding to the full width of
the page. If I switch to another theme
this is corrected and again it was fine
before 0.4. - Jul 12 2004
When will the version for KDE 3.2
be available? I am using baghira
and can't try out kde 3.2 rc's unless
I change my theme. Thanks - Jan 27 2004

Baghira has to be compiled with the
same QT version that KDE is
compiled with. - Mar 05 2004
