This is one hella-good icon set. My only problem is that tyhe toolbar icons for Puddletag display as HUGE and not normal sized which means I only get a fraction of an icon for each function (save, open, etc.). This is under Cinnamon on Mint 17. With MATE it works fine. - Aug 18 2014

Will this app be ported to either MATE or Cinnamon? Both desktop environments are now stable.

BTW I really wish you hadn't moved the news to Google+ - it's a loathsome forum format. - Apr 20 2012

An audio file integrity checker, again a la Foobar2000 on Windows. That and the capability to add ReplayGain tags would finally break the last dependency I have on the Windows platform. - Mar 17 2014
The one and only thing I don't see is the ability to calculate and apply ReplayGain (track, album and peak) to audo files (flac, off, mp3, aac, etc.) via ID3 tags a la Foobar2000 on Windows.

Any chance of this? - Mar 17 2014

This version is really nice. The version on the Cinnamon site is truly awful, since it features that gawdawful Ubuntu brown in it and that clashes with anything remotely green or blue. - Feb 22 2014
The color of the tree highlight in Nemo is that absolutely abhorrent Ubuntu brown. It sticks out like a sore thumb in an otherwise superlative work. Please change that.

Other than that, awesomely done! - Feb 21 2014

I have Cairo-Dock with the clock applet running and the background of the calendar is the same color as the calendar test making it unreadable. Please fix.

Other than that, good job! - Feb 22 2014

Great job! Now kill the gradient of the menu bar (file / edit / view / go / etc.) and somehow there still seems to be a faint undertone of orange in that menu bar that needs to go away. - Feb 19 2014

Love this pack - well done.

However I have uncovered a bug (it's not an unusual one - other themes have this problem too):

1) In Ubuntu-Tweak, in the Janitor tab, the text in the right pane is the same colour as the background color, thus making it illegible

2) In Cairo-Dock, if I use the Clock applet and click on it to get the calendar, the calendar days text has the same problem described above - they are the same colour as the background.

Can you please fix this in the GTK themes? - Jan 31 2014

Sorry, not Nautilus; I meant Advanced Settings. My bad. - Sep 15 2012
In the Bokmarks panel in Nautilus, you've highlighted "Theme". The grey gets swallowed by the blue unlike the buttons where the word "OFF" is contrasted quite nicely. I don't know if you can change the grey to white (it may conflict elsewhere) or black (again the same problem) but there needs to be more contrast there IMO. - Sep 15 2012

I truly despise hosting sites, especially ones that flog their so-called "Premium" services. How about posting the files on something REALLY free that won't annoy downloaders like Deviantart. - Apr 09 2012

In retrospect, I am sorry I was so vehement about it. It's just that a LOT of people seem to do this and I don't understand the reason. i used to post skins for Desktop Sidebar (a Windows app back in the XP days) on deviantart and I always used the built-in storage features.

And make no mistake: I greatly admire your work and efforts - they are excellent. - May 15 2011
Your artistic effort is appreciated and the works is excellent but your method of dissemination is an extreme annoyance.

I have to say this as a general statement:

All you folks who do external download links to "file sharing" sites are being JERKS.

Please use the built-in storage facilities of the site where you post the file; they are there for a reason.

I see it constantly here on and deviantart and I'm very tired of it. In this case the download link leads to deviantart and FROM THERE it leads to a file sharing site that requires me to disable my pop-up blocker to download a file, ties up my box so that I "have time" to read the ads and in general is a security risk.

Inconveniencing your users is NOT making you friends out there. It's time someone said that this is foolishness. - May 15 2011

Great app but can you provide the option to use id3 tags instead of ape? Nothing uses ape tags any more and hardware players (including Rockbox firmware) do not and never will use them - they use ID3 tags for replaygain information.

I note that the version of mp3gain that your app uses has the facility to write id3 tags. Can you provide the option to use those instead of the now obsolete ape tags?

Thanks and your app is extremely appreciated. - Feb 15 2011
