Maybe someday it will become real.
But I think Nuno knows exactly what to do. And with some artworks we all help him & KDE. That's why I decided to connect this icon into my mockup. Thank you all guys/girls for pleasant words about this style and for criticism :) - Feb 04 2010

This icon was designed to replace the official KDE icon in Splash Screen.
As you can see - I've revealed an idea in 1st screenshot :)
Next version is in my mind and is waiting in queue in Inkscape :) - Feb 03 2010

But you should rework the background light reflection of main, logging background -
IMHO it's too simple & in old style (like this from KDE 3).
If you do, then it will be masterpiece!
Keep up Sheytan - spread your wings :D

Robert - I'm still using the Inkscape - it's a powerful program that waits for unleashing the abilities by not informed group of users.
I'm happy you've decided to support me :) Your icons & ideas (also graphic talent) are great!
You're thinking about quality of Evolve - it's very simple style. This parameter comes from many hours of work I've spent @ building vector objects. And sometimes (as you know) the idea is better than a proper looking icon, but boring.
Now I'm out for some hours. Take care and it's really nice to hear from you again!

Robert - I'll try to improve it and finally send you a new wallpaper (not exactly finished - damn! don't have as much time I wish). I realized a few days ago, that without a working power the Evolve will be abandoned... So I want to say to all KDE-community: please send some artwork to me and I'll try to make a small selection. Ofcourse someone can think: "Damn! What is this idiot doing? There is a beautiful Oxygen set with KDE4". Yeah - that's right, but Oxygen I think is too close to finish all the icons and I think artwork team from KDE4 is working on last of the missing ones. Well, Evolve will be rather new look than serious theme or long time project - just an episode. But if the community will help - there is no problem to continue working and improving :) Look at the Breathe Icon set :)

bother looking at this :D
** You gotta be kiddin! :D Me and the hot-shot? Look at your ideas. I think you're too modest :)
Nah - it's beautiful, cause it looks well - everyone will say that ;)
>>Really like your icons man, they are really
great!
** THX for the recognition :)
>>Wish I had that kinda talent, well, anyways,
the wallpaper is very nice, I don't get
it why you're saying you didn't expect
users to use it??!?!
**Oh - you have talent - everyone loves the "new-theme" plasma suites! And I'm a big fan of them! Constantly improve your work effects (no - they're not ugly or sth - sometimes the tone transitions need to be reworked or from ver. to ver. everyone add a new element)! When I saw the #1 theme I thought: "Oho! Here it comes - a new plasma big bang". Just love "soft" colours, glow or smooth taskbar backgrounds etc. Now I use #2 - the clock in my desktop is camouflaged :D
>>THE gui
style for linux, that is what linux has
been missing in my opinion, a definitive
style that people connect with linux.
** That's right! Using a new OS for the first time everyone looks at the desktop graphic suite. Not everyone see the advantages that GNU/Linux have (or BSD). Only one way in most cases is to improve the look and then show the merits! Did you hear about one funny test? A group of men in one town (I did not remember which one) was walking carrying laptop with KDE4 and telling examined people: "That's new Win";"Do you like this widget"; "Look at the cube"; "Hope you like this..." etc. You know what? Most of them said that they will install the "new Windows" on their machines because it's very useful, good looking etc. Everyone can guess what will go wrong if you say at first sentence: "It's Linux and it's new KDE4 desktop"...
>> The thing I like about your wallpaper
is the clean smooth circles, I dunno
why, but I somehow seem to love circles :D
**Thanks once again! I will use every circle-idea to improve each square inch
of next wallpaper candidate :)
>>Oh?!?!? you didn't like my clock??
why not? it's the best there is!!
hehehe, just kidding, I know it sucks,
** As I said - the idea was not bad - nothing like this. The clock was made for the background - and it's the best suitable element! Saying: "improve the clock" I meant rather technical aspects. Bold the min/hour indicators or add a red stroke to the interior circle that the second indicator is attached! And that's all! The clock will be just a little legible :)
>> my mindless blabbering.
** If there will be more mindless blabbering like this...
Keep up the really good work! That's everything I can wish for now! :)

KDE-look.org requires writing in english - so I won't break this rule - sorry :D
I don't have enough time to make few icons / one day. So please - if someone has got similar vision like mine, send best work effects -> podstavsky@gmail.com. We need more people to release Evolve KDE Air set as quick as possible.
If there one person works on this heavy piece of bread - the time runs to infinity :D So - can't write exactly date of free.

---------------
You cannot say "It's too high for me". The main problem is how much work will you spent on doing them and the question: can you feel it? After written mail to Nuno Pinheiro, he gave me a tip: the icons can't be overdone, because after scalling to smaller resolution whole illustration will be not sharp and particular blurry.
I saw the theme you've made schollidesign - i don't like the ubuntu colours - but on KDE it's a new dimension :D The Human-O2 is simple but good-looking. Really like it. Some icons included there are awesome. If there is no problem for you - I'm simple asking: can you help me developing Evolve? :) It will be a great, glow set.
The reason of making the Air style is not competing with Oxygen. So why did I start? Because Oxygen is very conservative and sometimes boring. The desktop in my opinion must be elegance, smooth and have style but also colorful there, where it's need. Some Oxy icons are awesome and the style is beautiful, but after few days sitting on it you are searching some icons that will help your desktop be more... I don't know. I can only feel it :)
---------------
2. I heart, in summer, a decision will be necessary what should be default in KDE (4.5 ???)! Oxygen or Air? For me it's not important if Oxygen or Air is default by the first "boot/start". Important is that both are implemented by default for choose ;)
----------------
Nah, stop it! :) Thanks for the recognition by the way. It depends only on community how the Evolve KDE Air will look. I can see a huge time need if the style is developing by one person - for ex. by my own. So every good idea is very precious.
----------------
3. Poland peoples are very talented ... I'm glad that group of peoples had decided for doing this project. Thumbs up and best wishes for the future ... dla całego zespołu!
----------------
For now there is only one person working on this style. Me. So the more people will help the faster the theme will be release.
Cordiales saludos!

I know also about the working time - one icon: 3-5 hours... Thanks also for help offer. For this time "Evolve" isn't as serious as you think. Making the icons by myself, I know that my vision will be made as quick as possible. If I feelt the mentioned "torture" I'll shout for help. For now it's just a seed.
Best wishes,
