I think the icon theme I used in the screen shot is "Acyl". I got it from noobslab.com
try this:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons
sudo apt-get update

click: Edit -> Profile Preferences -> Colors
then Un-check: Use colors from system theme.
click: Background colors.

...that's exactly what happened, I upgraded from oneiric to precise beta 2 and it broke ambiance DS BlueBLK. So I dug on the codes, line per line and this is the result. .. I'm still working on the progress bar though. - Apr 12 2012

I'm sorry I forgot where I got that wallpaper, but if I could remember it right, it's a theme background for a Sony Ericsson cellphone which I try to enlarged using Gimp so I could use it as a wallpaper for my notebook. ..the resolution is not so good though. - Jun 08 2010

1. You should be using compiz and emerald.
2. click on "System"
3. click "Preference"
4. click "CompizConfig Settings Manager"
5. in your "CCSM (Compiz Settings Manager)" make sure the following plugins is enable (checked):
- Opacity, Brightness and Saturation.
- Opacify.
6. click on "Advance Search".
7. on the plugin window, scroll down till you see "Opacity, Brightness and Saturation" ..click it
8. at the "Window Specific Settings" click "New".
9. enter the following including the parenthesis in the "Windows" text box: (type=Menu | PopupMenu | DropdownMenu | Tooltip)
10. at the "Window values" text box, enter your desired transparency settings. ...I used "70".

1. click on "Properties"
2. click on "Background" tab.
3. click "Solid color"
4. click the color selector and choose a dark color.
5. then play on "Style" slider to get the desired transparency.

5. choose a dark color. ..in my case I use black.
6. adjust the slider to get your desired transparency.
