I think there are items, hardcoded in the engine, which cannot be changed ( Nautilus toolbar icons for example), but I'm not 100% sure. Maybe you should take a look at the theme's rc files in their folders, after all these are the standart themes, some kind of examples. - May 27 2011

To have icons in System, Preferences and Administration menu, run gconf-editor and change these two keys to "true":

/desktop/gnome/interface/buttons_have_icons
/desktop/gnome/interface/menus_have_icons

These icons are disabled by default since Gnome 2.28 and this is the way to take them back. As for Firefox, I can't tell you what to do. - Nov 30 2010

... not so good on my netbook (resolution 1024x600) Can you do anything about it? The scrollbars are ok, but everything else except the tabs are very small. Maybe because the pixmap engine, that's used for them. - Oct 25 2010

Yesterday I've tried to clmpile Talika under Fedora 13, but when I've started "make", I've got this text at the end:

Actually, no. This shot was made on my laptop, but it's from older version of Nimbus (0.1.1 I think). Yesterday I've notice, that I have the same white lines with the latest version of Nimbus on my Eee PC. Maybe this can be seen only in this version. - Apr 15 2009

There are two packages - nimbus-icon-theme and gtk2-engines-nimbus. The easiest way to find them is to search in Synaptic by status "Installed - local or obsolete" But you must find them simply by searching by keyword "nimbus". - Feb 04 2009
