SKY icons 0.7.3

Icon Sub-Sets by dave 74 comments

The icon for DVI files is almost equal to the one for TeX files. That's bad.
The result from the compilation (DVI) should stand out from the source files (TeX) otherwise it is really hard to locate by looking at the icons.

Also the look should be somehow close to the one from PS and PDF files. Take a look at the Hi-Color or Crystal icon sets.

Keep up the great work ;)

KDE Badass

Not as nice as badass2, but that means your improving ;)
Still way to underrated.
I don't really like the right upper corner. The idea is fine, but I'd change the image that appears behind.

Keep up the good work ;)

I know my display is a bit dark, when I want to watch a video or se soome images I usually set gamma to 1.8, to see your picture though, I had to set it to 2.3.
I think it might be too dark, but very cool in deed.

Well, in the screenshots I've seen they do have great definition... Maybe it's a problem with my settings:(

And like I said before, I think your icons are excellent :)

Keep up the good work!

Yes they look *great* in the screenshot, but when I installed them, they had the same problem of IcOsX and Aqua Fusion... bad definition on the borders... seemd like someone just used sissors to cut those icons and didn't do a very good job...

Plus all the icons I had in the desktop desapeared!! Anyone else had this problem?

Dynamic Menu

Various Stuff by damiancito 86 comments

First of all, sorry if I sounded rude or anything (I think I might), I did not intend to, just sharing my opinion. ;)

I did.

INFO *is* SOMETHING.

yeap

Yes, I can understand that.
And I find that information to much for the KMenu too, it will get huge and messy. KMenu main purpose is to select and run applications (and documents).

What about adding more complexity to the KMenu? Is that ok?
It is not adding more complexity, is grouping things in a logic way.

You can already add special buttons to the KMenu. I remember SuSE had one for YaST stuff. It would be a new menu with something similar to applets.

Applets in menus, I kind of like *that* idea. Just not like that in the KMenu.
Ok maybe as an option... maybe you could have special buttons for those 'applets', and be able to add those applets to the KMenu too, that way you can choose where to put them.

But the KMenu should be simple by default ;)

Hmmm yeah maybe.

Nah, it is missing much more than that, but that's another story ;)

Dynamic Menu

Various Stuff by damiancito 86 comments

Like some people already said, this makes absolutely no sense.
Why put email and appointments in the K-Menu? That's what kicker applets are for, you can choose your apps and put them there. Hmmm it would take to much space huh? Well there are panel extensions and other simillar things... not good enough, well think about something else, don't just throw stuff in the Kmenu!

Maybe an aditional menu for that kind of stuff, that could be nice. Something like a button that shows a menu with 'applets'.
(Just thougt of it now).

Anyway my point is, IMO the idea makes no sense and it is terrible in terms of usability.

Klassic New Crisp Icons

Icon Sub-Sets by therizwaan 21 comments

Hi, I always liked the classical icons kind of look, but they lacked the quality of the latest icon themes in deed. Now with the improvments they look really really nice.

Just some comments.
- Haskell sources icon. Could you make one. The symbol for icon sources should be a lambda. Look here http://haskell.org

- yeap I agree with the comment that as been made about sound.png, it looks to much like windows media player.

- *maybe* the video one should be more colorful?

Thanks :)

Besides, I for one am cool with porn here as long as it is KDE related porn. :)
The only problem with it is just beeing OT, IMO of course.

Eh, I don't know. Yes iKons look good, haven't tried Crystal yet. Anyway I like them the way they are.
I just don't like to see regular and photo realistic icons together. That really sucks:(

The SuSE specific icons on my kicker seem like they just don't fit there.
