Could you please try to remove the dropbox scripts that you moved to /usr/bin and then install dropbox-servicemenu using script placed inside the dropbox-servicemenu tarball?
Also make sure that you've got all dependencies installed:

- sqlite3
- python
- kdialog
- klipper - Jan 30 2011
It seems you're missing one of these dependencies:

- sqlite3
- python
- kdialog
- klipper

Make sure that they are installed in your system. - Jan 10 2011
Should be fixed now. - Nov 21 2010
Check for python2 is my mistake, it should check just for python (i was testing it on my system and accidentally put wrong script in tar.gz).

As for the xdg-open, i think i'll remove this check. KDE depends on xdg-utils so i think its not necessary.

Thanks for informing me about those issues, i'll upload new version asap! - Nov 21 2010
I've listed all dependencies in the description of this servicemenu, but you're right i'll add check for this in the script. - Nov 17 2010
I don't have any idea why this doesn't work for you. This link should redirect you to shareable link in your dropbox (the one you mentioned in your last comment - Could you try to change your default webbrowser and see if it works? I've tested this in chromium, firefox, konqeuror and all works for me.

If it's not the browser then only NSID in the generated URL might be wrong... - Nov 06 2010
That's really weird. Generated URL seems to be fine. Are you sure that the file you're trying to share has already synced?

The only thing that you can try is turn off dropbox, delete ~/.dropbox and configure dropbox again. - Nov 05 2010
Could you please tell me whats the path and filename of the file you're trying to share? Also please paste the link that was generated for this file and returned 404. - Nov 05 2010
As far as i can see only Arch seems to have moved to python3. Also /usr/bin/python2 is also arch-specific for now. I don't know any easy way to take care of this issue... - Nov 05 2010
This seems to be fixed for me with KDE 4.5.3 - Nov 05 2010
Thanks a lot, i am recently not up-to-date with linux stuff. I'll have to take care of all those issues once i have some free time. - Oct 26 2010
I can confirm that there are some issues with actions using webbrowser (link in gmail, revisions, shareable link outside of public folder) in dropbox-servicemenu + KDE 4.5.2. Looks like there is some kind of a bug in KDE 4.5.2, perhaps connected with this new KSharedDataCache. I'll investigate this issue and try to put a new version of dropbox-servicemenu with some kind of work around. Thanks for report! - Oct 17 2010
Well, it's pretty easy - if you create a directory in your Dropbox Public folder then all you have to do is right click on it and select Dropbox -> Generate public URL... URL address wil be copied to klipper so you can just ctrl+v it anywhere. - Jul 09 2010
Just gave it a try, and everything seems to work. Thanks for help! - Jun 14 2010
I guess this fix won't be backported to 4.4 branch? - Jun 13 2010
Another problem... i've just tried to install your servicemenu which seems to support KHNS, but i always get "Installation failed". Not sure whats the problem. - Jun 09 2010
I've got a problem with placing scripts. Right now i put scripts in /usr/bin so that they are always in $PATH, but moving scripts to /usr/bin requires root password. I'm not sure if it is OK to use e.g. kdesu in script? - Jun 09 2010
I will definitely take a look on this. I just didn't know that dolphin and konqueror support KHNS. Thanks a lot! - Jun 09 2010
Thanks, added to download links. However best way of providing this package would be directory listing or repo, so the link won't have to be changed everytime package is updated. - Jun 07 2010
Thanks ;) - May 30 2010
Added ;) - May 30 2010
Thanks a lot! - May 21 2010
I'm not the maintainer of AUR PKGBUILD. However there wasn't any change in servicemenu itself since 0.8.0. 0.8.1 0.8.2 only contain fixes for install script which isn't used by PKGBUILD. - May 19 2010
Yup, there was a bug in, should be fixed in 0.8.2. Thanks a lot for letting me know! - May 19 2010
Thanks a lot! - May 18 2010
At least in Archlinux $HOME/bin is not in $PATH by default.
Well, maybe you're right. In next version i'll move script files to /usr/local/bin or /usr/bin. - May 18 2010
Thanks for translation.

IMHO scripts should be placed in /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin as both of this paths are stored in $PATH variable. I myself never used/stored any scripts in $HOME/bin.

I was considering moving the scripts to /usr/local/bin but for now its easier to maintain and install for most users if both scripts and .desktop files are stored in servicemenu directory.

I don't quite understand, the thing is scripts and .desktop files use now --localprefix as default (which is valid if you want to install servicemenu only for one user in ~/.kde4). If you want to install servicemenu system-wide then you can use which will change --localprefix to --prefix and copy files to e.g. /usr/share/kde4/ - May 17 2010
As i see it is definietely possible, i didn't know about that. Thanks a lot for links, I'll try to implement this once i have some free time. - May 17 2010
Thanks a lot for your translation!

I will consider adding thunderbird to servicemenu (some kind of default email client autodetection would be best...).
As for sending message via KMess/Skype, im not sure how would this work? User would have to specify to whom send this message? Not sure how could this be done. - May 16 2010
Thanks, I will take a look into that. - May 15 2010
Thanks :) Translation added ;] - May 13 2010
Thanks, but i think i've already found a way to send link via gmail started in webbrowser. So expect new version soon :) - May 13 2010
OK, I will see if it is possible ;) - May 13 2010
Should be fixed now in 0.41 version. Could you please let me know if it works for you know? - May 13 2010
OK, i think i've found whats the issue - I've upgraded some time ago to dropbox-experimental which uses config.db instead of dropbox.db. Working on a fix now. - May 13 2010
Looks like your dropbox uses different path for saving settings (which is kinda weird). Can you try to manually find config.db file? - May 13 2010
Great idea! I'll add it in new version. - May 12 2010
Ok i will add it to description. I've thought that Qt depends in all distros on sqlite3 (at least it does in Arch Linux), thats why i didn't mention sqlite3 as dependency. - May 11 2010

Dropbox uses tray icons placed in ~/.local/share/icons, so its possible to make them monochrome but they have to be placed in different directory.

There are already dropbox monochrome icons for gnome, but they do not match oxygen monochrome icons. - Dec 05 2010
I've got a small request :P Could you please create monochrome icons for dropbox?

I know that dropbox is not part of KDE, but i haven't found any matching icons for this app. System tray would look awesome with only monochrome icons.

Link to dropbox tray status icons:

Thanks in advance! - Dec 05 2010

As far as i can remember there used to be a slider for adjusting size of KOSD in previous versions. In 0.5.1 there is no way to make the OSD bigger or smaller. - Aug 25 2010

Perhaps you could share this patch in comments for smooth-tasks also, so that everyone (including myself) could apply this patch manually before it gets added by author ?:) I would really like to have fully functioning smooth-tasks tooltip in KDE 4.5 :P - Aug 05 2010
Could you share your modification for smooth-tasks (blur support) or is it already available somewhere? - Aug 05 2010

I have to fully agree - it also breaks KHNS (there is no possibility to download this script directly from amarok).
If you (kubdat) want to promote your blog just add link to it in "homepage" section in kde-apps. - Jul 26 2010

Try running "oxygen-settings" - Jul 24 2010
Forgot to mention - this option would also come in handy when using GTK applications. Right now i use which makes GTK application look almost the same as KDE/Qt ones.

With disabled transparency GIMP looks like this:
GTK theme nicely blends with KWin deco

However when i enable transparency it doesn't blend anymore (which is pretty obvious as gimp doesn't use oxygen style):

Possibility to disable transparency of win deco for certain apps would allow to get the old consitent look for GTK apps.
- Jul 21 2010
I've waited for this feature so long that i've almost lost hope that it will become available. It's just awesome!

I've got only one feature request - possibility to disable transparency for certain windows/applications (e.g. smplayer doesn't seem to work well with RGBA). It would be nice if this would work for both decoration and style so that an application would have the old opaque look if it's blacklisted. - Jul 21 2010

I can confirm this. After i've added plasmoid "any" was selected as default interface and resulted in nothing to be displayed. After i've changed to eth0 connections were shown, and "any" disappeared from dropdown menu.

This happens on Archlinux + KDE 4.4.1 + Kernel - Mar 30 2010
But you cannot do this if plasmoid doesn't support this... - Mar 30 2010
