A couple of possible options:

The highlight on the scrollbar handle makes it look like it bulges towards the centre. Would it be possible to have an option to paint the gradient in the opposite direction (L-R), ala plastik, instead of top to bottom?

An option for no gradients on highlighting and the menu stripe?

An option to draw checkboxes as ticks instead of crosses? I know the evil empire(tm) does this, but it is more accurate in a way (a cross means no!), so it would be a nice option.

Fantastic work by the way. I've mucked about a bit with some kde-look stuff and it's hard work (for me anyway!) - Dec 06 2004

Same bug here, but to clarify - it only shows up for me when taskbar transparency is off! When I switch it on and restart kicker everything is fine!

Can you do something for customising the text colour maybe? Also maybe have a semi-transparent mouseover instead of opaque? :D - Nov 09 2004

Yeah... that's because I'm crap at this. I'm like a monkey at a typewriter. I'll see if I can do anything for the next release. - Nov 07 2004
Change the Window Decoration settings to the same as in the screenshot :) - Nov 07 2004

I am not the maintainer of knifty - the title just comes from the fact that it was originally based on the knifty code. Anyway, knifty is a 3.2 dec, so it still works! I am going to rename this for the next version maybe, and see where it goes. - Nov 04 2004
It doesn't :-) But it has rounded bottom corners, thicker borders and a title bar colour that bears a resemblance to the one selected in the control centre! I like plastik too, but that last one really pisses me off! - Nov 04 2004
Plastik doesn't have anti-aliased corners - it just has less rounding so you don't notice it as much. I am going to see what I can do anyway, at some stage - Nov 04 2004
I think plastik fits quite nicely, although I might modify that later if i can't leave well enough alone.. - Nov 04 2004
Yes. It pisses me off when they aren't too. - Oct 04 2004

I have konq's icons at 22x22, and the back and forward icons have become much smaller with this release, possibly 16x16? Is there a reason/fix for this?

Great icons by the way! - Aug 13 2004
I have my Konq icons at 22x22 and the forward and back icons now seem to be 16x16 sized..? - Aug 08 2004

The tabs don't look like plastik tabs, and the location bar is rounded. Looks nice though. - Aug 04 2004
Dude, it's called Plastik Firefox Buttons, and it's on kde-look.org, and you're complaining about the way it looks in Windows? :-)

I'm not using a theme - just a modified classic.jar I made, at http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=14900

Your theme is very slick, but it doesn't fit with the Plastik style :-) - Aug 04 2004

Actually, moz should already do it. There's a custom moz extension called -moz-appearance that should be able to use native widgets (ie whatever gtk theme you're using) but it doesn't work on gtk. - Aug 03 2004

If you move the cursor over the bottom edge of the window, instead of resizing the window only vertically at the bottom, it resizes it horizontally to the right as well. - Aug 01 2004
I don't know exactly what your code's doing, but it looks like it's grabbing the colours underneath to fake the rounded corners? So that when you open a window over a white background for instance, and then move it to a black background, you have white pixels at the corners where it should be rounded...
I'm only posting on this because this is the best deco I have seen, and I want to see it perfect! - Aug 01 2004
Thank you - I know this already. However, this windec does not do this anyway - download it and try. Although it squares off the rounded corners when maximised, the top left- and top right-most pixels are not clickable.

Incidentally, if you used Plastik for KDE 3.1, it had a "movable when maximised" feature that worked better than the native 3.2 setting, because then, the windeco could lose its borders when maximised, which doesn't happen when this setting is enabled in 3.2. - Aug 01 2004
Please, when the deco is maximised, make sure that the top left and top right corners of the screen have buttons in them (try the Plastik deco to see what I mean). This means that when the window is maximised you can quickly close it by throwing the cursor all the way to the corner and clicking, instead of having to place it exactly over a button that is near to the corner.

Good luck. - Jul 29 2004
