So Tilix (the tiling terminal emulator) has a generic terminal icon now, that does not really convey how its tiling. But that's just would be a nice to have thing. However what is actively distracting is how Tilix has an icon button thing on every tile that can Maximize/Restore the current tile. What's interesting, that this button has different icons with some other icon themes (eg. Moka/Faba), so one can determine the state at glance, but has the same icon with Newaita. (So you can not see at galce if you have just one tile on the current tab, or have multiple, but one is maximized.)
So my request is : Could you fix this maximize/restore problem? (By probably changing one or two symbolic action icons, I think.) - Jun 04 2020

So if you use a gtk3 heavy environment (that probably means Elementary Luna without anything) you might want to check the SECOND answer here out: http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/14129/set-gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme-as-a-user-setting

Here are few examples:
- I was wondering why I have the update manager opened, turned out it was Transmission bittorrent client. Yeah, I get it, the down icon, represents downloads. But that also misrepresents bittorrent as a concept, nor does it look like a wave or transmission's automatic transmission handle icon.
- The Software Center is an orange circle with dots in it. Well yes, it does sort of look like the application drawer from Android 4.x, but how would one know this is the place where you can actually install them?
- Firefox icon actually just a copy of the original firefox icon simply dropped on the button surface. I would be okay with that if most icons would be like that, but since most of the icons only have one or two tones of colors on them, the colorful firefox icon feels out of place and unprofessional.
- Why are video file icons buttonish, but documents flat rectangles? I would understand if buttons only represent applications in this icon theme, and documents sort of represent how they are sheets of paper, but then video files should look more like film strips than buttons, don't they?
Putting all these beside, the icon theme still needs some more action icons for application toolbars. (Open Geary Mail or Liferea with Moka, then compare it let's say to Faience.)
So at the moment I went back to my custom tweaked Faience.
I understand how much work went in to creating this theme, and it really does have some great concepts. (Not to mention out of the box support for some symbolic icons used mostly elementary apps!) SO I'm not voting bad. But nor am I voting up.
I hope after some tweaking these theme could eventually land on my desktop. But sadly not right now.
Keep up the great work. - Sep 14 2013

I set Faenza Fresh as my icon theme, but changed Faenza to Faenza-Dark in the index.theme's Inherits= line. - Apr 20 2012

I'm currently struggling with adding the shade button to the metacity-theme-1.xml
If I add <button function="shade" state="normal" draw_ops="whatever"> the theme breaks. I'll try checking your code, when I have time.
ps. Of course voted good ;) - Jan 11 2011

I don't really know why, but if you want the new one, I suggest you
1. change your theme to something completely different
2. Go to /home/YOURUSER/.themes
3. Delete the folders: InSight, InSight Ambient and InSight Grass
4. Download the theme again (try saving it to a different place / or different name maybe?)
5. Try Install it then in gnome appearance settings - Jul 03 2010

The breadcrumbs are NOT made for Nautilus Elementary, just plain old Nautilus, cause that's what I use. (Check screenshots, they are not normal looking buttons, like they were in the previous version.)
I personally don't really approve pixbuff in a theme, it makes it render slower, and sometimes even makes it more hard to change colors. (Not to mention it'll make the theme archive bigger with all those images.) And well making pixbuff breadcrumbs for Nautilus Elementary not only brakes breadcrumbs in plain Nautilus, but it'll most likely have a fixed background color.
So my theme (except for the gradient on the panel and the close button icon) is completely rendered by the theme engine, and not from several images.
On the other hand I'm currently trying out a newer, more bubble like stlye for breadcrumbs. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v55/Barmunk/Kpernykp-35.png (That's still not pixbuff d: ) What do you think?
ps. If you use it with a different color settings then the 3 defaults I provided could you post a screenshot? I'm curious of what colors would other ppl like. - Jul 03 2010

- The close button... I see what you mean. I've added the power-off symbol becouse I've found that original, and more life like. (You won't find a big red X on your TV remote, but a standby/power-off symbol.) I'll probably do something about it, though, it realy doesn't look that good this way.
- Panelbug: Okay, that one on the other hand is a bug. I'll start working on it, right now. - Jan 21 2010
