This is perfect for my workstation - while it actually has two actual processors instead of two cores, it still works nicely.

The singlecore version is also great on my laptop. - Apr 29 2008

Groupware by voc 17 comments

I'm using Debian Etch, and have gotten Raki and syncekonnector to work on my Contacts, Tasks, and Appointments. However, I see quite a few other options in there (like bookmarks and files) that don't work - no synchroniser found. I fixed the same problem with the three working ones by installing ksync, but what do I do to get those working? - Jan 27 2008

This seriously rocks (more than the other themes out there).

Might look to writing themes for AIO, rather than superkaramba :P - Jan 07 2007

Right click on the theme to configure it, and under Network AIO, change Eth0 to ppp0 :)

Can you give me the output of the sensors command?

And to get the wireless networks listed, execute this:

sudo chmod +s /sbin/iwlist

That will let you perform wireless scans as a normal user (it normally requires root privs)

Hope this helps, and thank you for the compliment :) - Dec 07 2006

wpa_supplicant doesn't support the RT2500 chipset (yet), so kwlan won't either.

Good news though - the RT2500 driver does WPA natively - no need for wpa_supplicant.

Try this:

Could you add support for the broadcom driver, please? I use a broadcom wifi card, which is supported by wpa_supplicant, but I don't find the option of starting it with that driver in your options. - Dec 02 2006

hi - nice work so far - i like the look.
Thanks :)
I do miss options though...
i.e:
-> decide what to have on the bar (i.e. no wireless card in my PC - dont need the info therefore)<
-> specify correct data - settings options in general i.e.:
a. doesnt seem to know where my /home is
b. i'd prefer 24h instead of am/pm
I'm not sure how to go about making configurable themes yet - I know it involves python, but I'm hugely inexperienced with that language. I'll be studying it though. Though look at the theme file in Kate - I've left comments through the file to tell people what they're looking at :) Just don't save the theme while it's running - superkaramba will crash.
-> Doesnt show temp of mainboard nor cpu (Bios can read cpu temp - so i suppose the OS should b able too?)
Yeah. For the temp readings you need to have lm-sensors installed and setup correctly. Use sudo apt-get install lm-sensors, then sudo sensors-detect. Answer yes to everything, but when it asks you about ISA or SMBus, answer smbus.

If sensors-detect complains about no i2c found, run this script:

#!/bin/bash

# Here you can set several defaults.

# The number of devices to create (max: 256)
NUMBER=32

# The owner and group of the devices
OUSER=root
OGROUP=root
# The mode of the devices
MODE=600

# This script doesn't need to be run if devfs is used
if [ -r /proc/mounts ] ; then
if grep -q "/dev devfs" /proc/mounts ; then
echo "You do not need to run this script as your system uses devfs."
exit;
fi
fi

i=0;

while [ $i -lt $NUMBER ] ; do
echo /dev/i2c-$i
mknod -m $MODE /dev/i2c-$i c 89 $i || exit
chown "$OUSER:$OGROUP" /dev/i2c-$i || exit
i=$[$i + 1]
done
#end of file

Save it as mkdev.sh, then chmod +x mkdev.sh then sudo ./mkdev.sh

Then try sensors-detect again.

Good luck :) - Nov 21 2006

I would recommend changing
text x=50 y=152 sensor=program program="iwconfig eth2 | grep ESSID " interval=600000
to
text x=50 y=152 sensor=program program="iwconfig eth2 | grep ESSID | awk '{ print $4 }' " interval=600000

As the original command outputs
eth2 IEEE 802.11b/g ESSID:"EfyddWLAN" Nickname:"Broadcom 4306"
And the replacement command outputs
ESSID:"EfyddWLAN"

Any way to get the RAM meter to ignore the cache? It's not really very useful right now, as most of my RAM is filled with cached files I'm not using. A clearer view of how much RAM I'm using for programs would be more useful for me. - Nov 09 2006
