I think due to the fact that victims of all other war, genocide, torture, ... have not the same power of communication or don't live on the past.
To equilibrate, all under pain people have to start to make themes and wallpapers ? ...Heu, a theme for mass murder of tibetans, brazilians, armenians, kurds, jews, protestants... the list is too long.

to distinct different devices creating sd* nodes i use udev rules so now for my usb pen i don't have no more /dev/sd*1 but /dev/usbkey1
here is the rule:
BUS="usb", SYSFS{idVendor}="05dc", SYSFS{idProduct}="0080", NAME="usbkey%n"
this trick allow you to have your device always mount in the same mount path (for me /mnt/usbkey and not /mnt/removable*)
here's a nice tutorial on how to write udev rules:

- Right too, i'll add an entry in the album menu

Hi,
Amarok is a killer app :D
I've just a whish, could it be possible to have a dcop call returning the current playing file with full path?
It's the only think which make me still use XMMS (in fact, it's for communicating with Karamba).

Hi,
i would replace id3lib and vorbisfile by taglib in my apps, but i don't find how to handle pictures stored in id3v2 tags.
Can you give me some little help?
if i've correctly read the api doc for reading i should use:
ID3v2::Tag::frameListMap["APIC"].data()
with this i get the complete frame, so i need to split it to get text encoding
(first byte), mime type, picture type, description and picture data. am i
right?
Thank's

There's another reason:
My goal is to add KarambaR to kdenonbeta and for that an apps must not depend of librarys witch are not in KDE (this the reason why i plan to replace in next version the id3lib and vorbisfile by the KFilePlugin).
Don't tell me that my program depends of XMMS, it's optionnal and not obligatory to compile.
Tha's the reason why i don't merge with SK (which is a very good app). - Sep 06 2003
Has i seen the reply from Adam (SK) to your question, i've only one thing to say: no coment :(
Bye,
Cyril. - Sep 04 2003
Hi,
i can't recommand one or one, you have to make your own idea. But, i think KarambaR is a little bit easyer cause you don't have to know python programming and the theme creator can help you a lot.
Try it, and please comment it.

Can i've more info, launch karamba from a console and look what it says. - May 04 2003
- the playlist button work only if you have xmms-shell (it is notice in the requirement)
so if you don't have it, that can't work.
- the use of the id3v2 is an interesting think, i'll work on it.

No, we don't want to make this!
We already have contact with Hans, but he's on holidays for the moment, so he can't validate our work.
This is the reason why we put a letter in the release and not numbers like 0.17.1 or 0.18.
Karamba is his creation and all encouragements remains to him.
So, in the worst case, if he don't want to include our patchs in the main distribution, we'll published them separatly, but i repeat, we want to keep good relationship with Hans and we don't want to make a fork. - Apr 19 2003
