woops, replied to the wrong post.

There are a couple of quirks with this, that I haven't ironed out - this being one of them. When I first did hourly forecasts, I just wanted to get it out, so that basic functionality could be tested. I'm about to launch into some improvements - for example, allowing for 12 hours of forecasts. Trying to fix the 24 hour issue, and the showing wind speed in "kph" when using imperial measures are on my list to fix.

If anyone wants to help out with squashing these bugs, I'm more than happy to take patches.

do you have superkaramba v0.33 installed? If not, then you will need it for the fonts to look right. To configure fonts from a configure menu would be too difficult to implement, unless you want to have a go at it.

You'll need to install -devel packages for X. they'll be on your disks. If you're using FC2, go to the package manager, and choose the development option.

How did you install superkaramba? You need to use an rpm specifically compiled for FC2, or compile it yourself.

Go back to 0.33. But compile from source - go to netdragon.sourceforge.net, and find out how to patch the source to avoid the always on top bug. You'll have to look in the forums. It's a matter of commenting one line.

Run it from a konsole, and email me the output (click on my name above to find it). I suspect that your superkaramba doesn't match your python installation. What version of superkaramba are you using and how did you install it?

Upgrade to superkaramba 0.33 and see if you get any improvement. Get the source from netdragon.sourceforge.net.

I am picking that this is a problem with your python installation, or your superkaramba installation. After installing Fedora Core 2, have you recompiled superkaramba against the new python? Are you using an old superkaramba rpm built for a previous version of Fedora? Superkaramba needs to be compiled against the python libs that you currently have installed. if there is a mismatch, python based themes won't work. If this doesn't work, email me the console output, and I'll have a look at it. you can discover my email address by clicking on my name at the top of this post.

Agreed. Given that you've implemented this in your stuff anyway, I might just remove this item. It's unnecessary now, and the issues re acknowledgment are a bit silly (in my view).

Attach MULTIPLE Files - Evolution

Dolphin Service Menus by Matti 8 comments

I'm sorry that you feel this way. This could have been cleaned up a lot less publically by a quick email.

Neway, the only thing I used from your release was the .desktop file. The commandline mailto syntax for evolution has been around for a long time, and I have been using it for the purpose of service menus for a while now - but only for single files. When I saw you release your version, I thought that you might have worked out how to attach multiple files. However, when I downloaded it, and found it only did single files, I wondered how other programs did it - ie the plugins for digikam. So I dug around in the source, and found the correct syntax. The python script is all original. We all build on the shoulders of others. Your stuff was released under the GPL.

Notwithstanding the above, I'll acknowledge stuff that I've used from your release.

What I meant by can't be configured, was that it can't be configured through the configure menu. Of course it can be changed through hacking. However, I can't see a useful way of implementing colour changes through the configure menu.

You need to install superkaramba v0.33 from source (go to netdragon.sourceforge.net to get it). The reason is that the version you have will have been compiled against different python libraries, and that's what is stuffing you up. Furthermore, v0.32 will make all the fonts look ugly.

You appear to have libraries for python 2.2 and 2.3 installed. Uninstall the 2.2 library. See if that fixes it. Cynapses works, because it doesn't use a python script to generate content.

You can't resize the widget - superkaramba limitation.

You could manually change the fonts (search for "prettyText" in the script), but they'll be out of proportion with the rest of the theme.
