How to achieve this for Plasma 5?

I had to install this into ~/.kde/share/apps/plasma/wallpapers/

Works fine, but takes up a little more CPU than the default animated wallpapers.

I really appeicate you taking the time to do this, but when I tried out a couple of your wallapers, my cpu usuage went up alot higher than using dream desktop and the swap starting filling up.
But it not your wall paper thats the problem, even ascii animals which is a very simple animated wall paper acted the same way, although your animated gif ones used slightly more cpu, they both had the same affect on swap.

Maybe when kde-qml is better I can use them, but till then its dream desktop.
It has a buggy interface to enter videos but once in thier they work good and dont use that much cpu.

Sadly I can't download any of the Wallpapers.

GoogleDocs shows that you can't download the file cause there had been too many users accessing the file. I should try later...

Working with the Kubuntu 14.04 & KDE 4.13.

Alternative installation path with the 'buntu is the ~/.kde/share/apps/plasma/wallpapers/. Then you dont't need the admin/root rights.

You really need to do a better job of explaining how to install these. Not everyone is on OpenSUSE. For example, on Sabayon I don't have a /usr/share/KDE4/apps/plasma/wallpaper folder. Also, there is no obvious method of browsing to add your wallpaper files via the GUI wallpaper configuration screen in KDE. Finally, if I could find where to put the files, do I put the 'vista' folder inside, or the folder + the desktop file within the folder, or just the files in the 'contents' folder? How???

I use Sabayon and the destination folder you're looking for is.
/usr/share/apps/plasma/wallpapers
which would be effective for all users on the system.

You must install first package kdeplasma-addons (i dont know exact name for Sabayon) then you should have folder /usr/share/kde4/apps/plasma/wallpapers there. Just unpack these to this folder and select it through Desktop settings/folder settings as animation.
