Description:

Gnome-Cupertino and Gnome-Cupertino-Mint for Gnome 3.6.x

The upgrade to 2.x (and name change) is a bit drastic, and it is because I had to practically the theme from scratch and make a decision to keep only one of the previous two L and SL. Another reason for name change is because the theme does not use the adwaita-engine over several versions.

Version for unity due to global-menu

* IMPORTANT *
- GTK3 theme: unico-engine is no longer necessary for the theme
- GTK2 theme: uses gtk2-engines-murrine and gtk2-engines-pixbuf
- Ubuntu 12.10 comes by default with gnome 3.6 and nautilus-3.4 (though you can upgrade to nautilus-3.6), but if you have nautilus-3.4, you must set the theme for nautilus-3.4, as explained in the readme.txt

- Inside the theme folder there is a readme.txt file with some really simple instructions (styles for nautilus, 4 tab styles, glassy buttons, Unity top panel white mac style, some fix)

Hope you like it for everyday use.

I recommend this fantastic icon themes:

Hi,
really nice work you did, best OSX Theme so far! I use the Unity L theme from you with the "unity-transparent.css" option for the unity panel. It looks really nice as long a no window is maximized or you hoover over the panel. Then the panel turn grey an it does not look so good anymore
http://u76.img-up.net/?up=theme-probd3d5.png

Is there a way to chance this?

Best Regards

I love the new white unity panel in Cupertino L Unity but it introduces an inconsistency with the rest of the apps. You see, with unity, the title bar and the panel should be themed in the similar way otherwise there is a huge prob. Now look at the screenshots, normal apps look awesome while as maximized apps look out of place because the transition from their toolbars to the title bar(panel) breaks because of different theming. Same is the case with FF. Nautilus with light toolbar looks a bit better though.

Hola @trastes.

Hi again ;)

I hope you find useful issue reports, and in that manner I post another potential issue:

System file open dialog for GTK2 applications has inverted strip (what I mean: http://i.imgur.com/h085Z.png)
GTK3 file open dialog is as expected white/blue strip instead gray/blue as shown above

Thanks for supporting this great theme :)

In Nautilus, Location action (Ctrl+L) focuses "address-bar", and has white color for background, which is hard (almost impossible) to notice
I'm using latest (1.4.2) version on Ubuntu and this was also present in previous version

BTW, I couldn't find any info in readme.txt about new tabs options?
Not that I'm not happy with current, just curious

Thanks again for this beautifully designed theme

Cheers

Regarding the tabs, are only added in Cupertino Adwaita L (not in SL)

In readme.txt of Advaita Cupertino L can see how to customize the tabs

I've been patiently waiting for this theme to get officially updated to 12.04, and I have to say that it's beautiful! I changed the tabs to have blue highlights and changed Nautilus to use grey sidebar and light toolbar and it made Ubuntu even more beautiful to look at! Great work on the update Trastes :)

I've just noticed a small thing.

In the GTK3 part of the theme, the minimum length of the scrollbar slider is set with:
gtk-3.0/scrollbar.css: -GtkScrollbar-min-slider-length: 3px 0px;

The value of 3px is too small, and the scrollbar becomes almost invisible if there is too much text to scroll.

Setting it to 30px works better in my case!
